Introduction to security
Learn why security is such an important part of keeping your business running, and take a look at some of the typical types of cybercrime small businesses may encounter. Get an overview of the cybercrime environment around the world.
Learn about user roles, and how to use them to control who has access to what. Recognise the elements of a strong password, and how to create one. Understand why sharing logins, increases the risk of a cyber attack.
Setting up and removing staff
Learn about the elements of security you should take into account when onboarding new staff, and understand what is best practice when inviting practice staff into client organisations. Also look at the process of removing security privileges for exiting staff.
Strengthen your businesses defence by understanding a bit about two-step authentication in Xero, and go through the necessary steps to get it set-up. Take a look at the benefits of two-step authentication in other business tools beyond Xero.
Keeping data secure
