The Uniting Church Administration Package [UCAP] has been developed jointly by Uniting Resources of the Uniting Church NSW and Benkorp Management Services.

UCAP is designed to support Congregations and Presbyteries:

Manage the bookkeeping and accounting

Reporting to the Congregation

Reporting to the Synod (UR1)

Sometimes, church treasures and administrators feel like they are out on their own. Using UCAP from Benkorp means working with Christian business people who understand the Church and how demanding are the responsibilities especially for volunteers. Your congregation can relieve the stress of your Treasurer, about setting-up and maintaining the church accounts, by using UCAP.

We are pleased to announce the release of the new edition of UCAP User Manual

After 18 months since the last edition of UCAP Uniting Resources have just released the new UCA NSW Treasurers Manual.

Coincidentally MYOB has released the very new versions of software.

This means a major new release of UCAP, the UCAP Manual, the new Accounts List and the new datafiles.

1. A chart showing the Mapping from the old UR1 and old UCAP to the new UR2 and new UCAP
2. A listing from the new UCAP datafile showing the complete new Accounts List with UR2 references

Note that the new UR2 applies to the reporting for this coming year end 30.6.10 - see Appendix 2 to the Treasurers Manual.

You will be prepared for this change when you implement these changes now, per the Mapping chart, and before June 30th. When you change an account number in MYOB then all the history is automatically connected to the new account number. This means that all the transactions for FY10 will be in the new UR2 reporting format.

Benkorp recommends that your Congregation take up the offer to subscribe to MYOB Cover so that you can take advantage of the upgrades and changes mooted by MYOB for the coming 12 months.

• MYOB have just released all versions in a new format and with some feature changes:
  - all products are now called AccountRight (previously MYOB Accounting or MYOB Premier)
  - there are no changes to the payroll feature in this update, now called AccountRight Plus v19

Benkorp was established by Directors Cecil Benjamin and Jeanette Korporaal in 1994. Now Benkorp concentrates on administration management for businesses and not-for-profit organizations.
